For our August Bookclub edition, well talk about the book that makes us nervous to be in an elevator with Neil Gaiman, and also the subject of the next edition of our book club, Murder Mysteries.

  • The Wrapper Story - creepy old guy on the bench
  • The Inner Story - creepy young guy on the prowl
  • The Central Story - Raguel, agent of vengeance
  • The Murder - Cain and Abel
  • The Trick - Who is god
  • The Inner Story Wraps - creepy killer guy
  • The Wrapper Story wraps - everyone appears to be fucked

Crit Analysis

  • What the hell is this about?
  • Is it cool because of the story, or because there’s a weird cool factor to angels
  • Did Neil Gaiman kill someone?

This week on ACC, Marty, Tim, and Nick gather around their microphones to discuss "DC as a Lifestyle Brand" and what ATT/Time Warner are doing with DC comics. Folks, it's a bit worrisome

In the second half of the show, we talk about the history of the MCU on Netflix and what the future of the MCU on Disney+ may bring. More specifically, we go into great detail about what did, and did not, work with Netflix.

As you may have guessed, Marty talks about Daredevil. At least this time, its within the context of the Netflix shows.

And now, let's turn the page!

So Bad! So good?

Hey there ACCtion heroes! Did you think we went on summer break without telling you? I, on behalf of the whole ACC crew, am so sorry we have been off for a few weeks. But we are back with at least two episodes ready to go!
In this week's episode, Tim and his lovely bride came to visit Chicago wherein pizza was tasted, ice cream was compared to Italian ice, coffee was consumed, and adventures were had. We also saw a little movie we like to call Nightmonkey Takes Europe, but what most of the critics are calling Spider-Man: Far From Home.
I think we also talked about Hulk, Green Lantern, and Chip's Daredevil run, but we didn't get all of that on tape.

Hey there ACC-tion heroes! This week, Marty and Nick do a quick pullbox episode. Nick does a review of the first episode of the new DC Universe TV Show Doom Patrol, and Marty discusses G Willow Wilson's run on Wonder Woman! So let's turn the page and talk about comics!

Just before Endgame leaves the box office, we're here to finish our in-depth review! This week, we talk about our supporting cast, who was left behind, who got dusted and things we shouldn't think too hard about (for now...)

  • Supporting Cast
  • Good use of screentime
  • Who got short-changed? Goose the Flerkin, Vision???

Overall High Points

  • What made you gasp?
  • What made you cry?
  • What made you laugh?
  • Any Misses?
  • Anything you didn’t care for?
  • Any bad stereotyping?

We’re Not Gonna Think About It Too Hard:

  • Steve’s time travel ending shouldn’t work
  • Steve may have made out with his niece
  • Thanos breaks the whole timeline by coming forward in time
  • The Ancient One specifically explains that there are no multiple realities because of the infinity stones.  This makes time travel make no sense
  • Cassie grows up 10 years in five
  • Did all of Peter Parker’s friends get dusted?
Kirby Scores!
Thanks to Steve Jacoby for editing, even though HE HADN'T SEEN THE MOVIE!

Mar 7, 2019
Today on All Comics Considered we’re going to do a Pullbox consisting of works by black creators!

  • Nick - Some thoughts on ethno-futurism - Spec-lit that imagines worlds that exist by different cultural values - what we think of as science-fiction is really just western-futurism - it celebrates and promotes western ideas, and often western(white) people
  • Roots - Archetypes, Story Archetype modes
  • Iconography - Representation, different symbol set
  • Pallette - cultural expressions of color
