Hello and welcome to All Comics Considered, the comic book podcast with a heart of gold.  Tonight, it’s just Marty as he plugs a book about amazing women throughout the ages, AND fills in for Tim as we read about the future exploits of one Jane Foster

Wherein all-star guest, Caitlín Rosberg and Marty discuss helping parents transition their kids to chapter books, through the lens of comics! The conversation revolves around the idea of helping comics loving parents help their kids transition to middle grade (8 years old to 12) books.

DC has created a MG and YA imprint, complete with easy to read branding. Marvel, in contrast, has licensed this to IDW.
Both of the big 2's work with MG and YA pale in comparison to the work of Rania Telgemeir

Also, it's Marty and Caitlín hanging out, just like they do at C2E2!

Check out Caitlín's new podcast, UniCURSEity.

Wherein in Caitlín flexes their superpower and recommends new comics for TWO friends of the show! Honestly folks, I'm down for most of these titles as Caitlín is Magic!

Wherein Marty, Tim, and Nick talk about what comics and books they are reading and why you, dear listener, should join suit.

While only Tim is talking about a full-fledged comic, Marty talks about two writers at the top of their game, and Nick delves into a fan favorite bit of animation and storytelling!

Marty:

The Bird King: W: G Willow Wilson

Anyone: W: Charles Soule

Tim:

Taskmaster W: Fred Van Lente, A: Jefte Paolo

Nick:

Steven Universe: Future

The holidays mentioned in our opening:

Steven Foster Memorial Day

Feast of 3 Kings

And between the recording and posting of this  episode, I seem to have filed my NeOne Letter with my comics -- but when I find it, I'll post it!
