Why this is the Last Trasment Story
Warren Ellis was recently and credibly accused of creepy, grooming behavior. We dig into the allegations and discuss why we can't, in good conscience, continue to lift up this series.

Hi all. Given the allegations against Warren, we're cutting this series short. We are recording tonight and will be addressing the allegations against Warren, Stewart, and the entire fucked up situation where predators are abusers are still in comics.

Today's show was on Year of the Bastard, which are issues 13-18.

We're not linking to buy this book.

Hey there ACC-tion Heroes!

In this week's episode, Tim and Marty talk about what they've been reading. Honestly, we are spending a lot of time in our Marvel Unlimited subscriptions, because even with the UI and UX issues, there' still so many books to cover. What - and from what service - are you reading right now? What would you really like to read? Marty has an idea on how to make that happen, so let us know!

Hey there ACC-tion heroes! This week's episode was an experiment: Could we get some of our amazing fans, friends, and guests on at the same time in the age of Rona? Could we -- dare we -- even use zoom for it?

We did! Our guests Manu, Caitlin, and Kelsey join Marty and Nick for a discussion of Tony Stark, Rhodey, Daredevil, kissing in comics, and the wrong way to make a bourbon milk punch. If this sounds like fun, leave us a review or hit us up on twitter so we can invite you to the next round of Comics and Cocktails!

Hey there ACC-tion Heroes!

This week, in prep for this weekend, we have a treat! Sharon Bruhn, producer Tim's better half, shares her work on the N64 game Superman: The Animated Series. This game is part of our Patreon reward: Wherein Marty gets drunk and streams one of the worst video games ever made. Sharon ended up being the de facto QA lead for this game while she worked at Nintendo. She provides some key insights into the game development cycle as well as why the game was eventually published.

And then join us on Saturday, 7pm CST for the main event: Marty streaming the game while drinking bourbon, beer, and maybe something called arak. It'll be a hoot!

This week, we bring in Tom Seymour, owner of Marty's Local Comic Shop, First Aid Comics on Taylor. We start our show by talking about how he got into comics and transition into the state of the LCS during the pandemic. Tom doesn't pull punches as he talks about the difficulties of going to an online retailer, creating geek-themed masks, and what the comic landscape may look like when social distancing is over. We end the show with a pullbox, where we recommend three books for our audience:

Hello and welcome to All Comics Considered, the comic book podcast with a heart of Gold.  Tonight, your hosts Marty, Tim and Nick our favorite obscure villains or heroes.

Tim Defines obscure!

To me obscure means a character who is rarely used and when they do pop up it’s always pleasant if unexpected surprise.

DC has created a MG and YA imprint, complete with easy to read branding. Marvel, in contrast, has licensed this to IDW.
